It seems to clean well; however, you have to choose between a short 48 minute cycle OR go to a 166 minute cycle. Should be one choice between these two.
Having trouble with the top rack not pushing back in at times so as to close the door. Repair man is working on it.

I frequently get an 888 error code, which is frequently married to a dishwasher full of dirty water that won't drain. I've had the logic board replaced, but I think I've spotted the issue.
When I get the 888 code (some weeks, it's every time I run it), I siphon the dirty water out, wipe out the food remains on the bottom of the tub, remove the filter and the filter plate and rinse them in the sink. Then I take a paper towel and wipe out the food/water in the indention underneath the filter plate. I read the filter and the plate, add clean water to the tub and then turn on the dishwasher, gently massaging the return hose to help loosen trapped food particles to drain again.
I don't know why I didn't see the flaw until tonight - at the bottom of the fine filter is a cone shaped plastic grill that is large enough to let things like corn, spinach leaves, etc bypass the filter and clog up the return. I've literally never had this much maintenance on a dishwasher before and I hope to never have to again.

I've been using this portable DW for about a month now and have some experience.
On the plus side, it does a fine job of cleaning. I've begun using the short cycle even with full loads and using Cascade Platinum. No experience using other DW detergents.
But there are several minor annoyances.
First, this DW was obviously not originally designed to be a portable. GE took one of their standard models, put it in a case, put on a top and set it on casters. The door can't be latched closed so it's impossible to wheel it around to the sink by grabbing the door handles. Also, there is a little window which shows how many minutes remain in the cycle. Due to the size of the top, it's impossible to read it with the machine running and the door closed. The design is obviously something of a "make-do" and not well thought-through.
My second reservation is the racks. They take some getting used to compared to five previous dishwashers I've owned (just about every brand). I've finally got used to the top rack but I still find the bottom one annoying. Although taller, the entire cavity is shallower (front to back) than any other DW I've had so two rows of standard dinner plates end up touching each other at the edges. Secondly, the tines are too close together so plates with deep lips don't really have enough space between them. And third, it seems to be designed for a typical 6-piece place setting of typical dishes which is not very flexible. It's hard to find a place for thicker items like pie plates, pasta/soup plates, flan pans, and especially plastic cutting boards. Personally, I think the model should come with a CHOICE of different bottom racks and the buyer could pic one that suits their household best. This shouldn't affect the price.
My final negative criticism is that I think only two rinses is insufficient. It leaves a visible film on the inside of the door and obviously a film on the dishes. I'd like to be able to have an option for an extra rinse; this should be relatively easy for a microchip; after all, I have it on my (clothes) washer. So I finish the cycle of dishes and then start it again with no soap, let it run for a few minutes and then cancel it. Result: squeaky clean dishes.
Finally, there seems to be a defect in the hoses. They're twisted and that makes it very hard to get them to go back into the machine after a load. I've called for service.
(I did have a problem with delivery from Leon's as the men took it out of the carton and placed it in the kitchen where I told them. But then left without attaching the casters. I phoned them in their truck and they said that was "installation" which they didn't do. Well not in MY book! After a conversation with Leon's, the delivery guys came back that day and put the casters on which took them about 10 seconds. Okay, Leon's!)

This is our 3rd portable dishwasher, the GE replaced a 15 year old Kenmore. We're very happy with how clean it gets the dishes, how quiet it is and that the dishes dry well when you open the door at the end of the cycle. A couple of minor observations/concerns:
1. The hose doesn't retract all of the way back into the unit - it sticks out a few inches. It seems that the hose reel won't spin back the entire way - perhaps the spring isn't strong enough
2. The cutlery rack is flimsy and doesn't sit firmly in the bottom rack and the guide covers are more nuisance than useful - we removed them after about 5 uses.
So far, we're pleased with the purchase.

We've only had this dishwasher a little less than a week and used it only 4 or 5 times, so take this into consideration when considering this review.
We purchased this dishwasher to replace an aging (25+ years) portable that was beginning to leak water from the pump seals, etc.
This unit doesn't have quite the capacity that our old model had, but it does clean the dishes quite well. Also, on the plus side, it is EXTREMELY quiet, especially compared to our old appliance.
On the negative side, I'm not enamoured with the controls being located on the top of the door. When the door is closed, none of the buttons or indicator lights are visible, being hidden under the overhang of the unit's top. Also, I didn't realize it at the time we decided to purchase it, but it has no drying cycle like our old one had. You have to open the door after the cleaning cycle is done in order to dry the dishes. Yes, that's an energy-saving feature, but it's a bit of an annoying hassle as well. My only other complaint is that our old unit had a positive door latch that required a finger push on the latch to unlock and open the door. This allowed us to grab the door handle with both hands and wheel it over to the sink from its normal storage location. The door on this GE unit has no positive, locking latch. Consequently, to maneuver it over to the sink, we have to move it out away from the wall some and then get behind it and push it over to the sink, rather than pulling it as we were able to with our former one. Granted, it's a minor inconvenience but, had a little more thought gone into the design process, I would even have had this small gripe.
All in all, I have no MAJOR complaints about the unit and it performs well. I really like the low sound level of the unit. If it lasts as long as our old one, I'll be very happy.

I was so excited to get a portable dishwasher. I hadn't had one for 6 years. My husband found it a ABC warehouse. They sold it to use $600 when ticket said $799.
The first time it overfload unto floor. Second time it didn't release the soap. That's been happening, I even tried liquid soap .
It doesn't drain, I have to siphon out the water.
The worst product ever.
Called GECARES women that answered phone was not helpful and put me back into que over and over.
Giving this 1 stare is a over statement.
Maybe a owners manual would be helpful.

Repairman traveled 2+ hours after I spoke to him specifically what was happening and to bring parts.
He arrived with no parts

While it's aesthetically pleasing, and runs/cleans as it's intended, the dishwasher leaves a lot to be desired. There are very few portable dishwashers available and I wish I would have gone with a different one - one that will actually DRY the dishes. The things I had seen prior to buying didn't really encompass the fact that you have to leave the door open after it's done, for several hours, just to have it "mostly" dry with a bunch of water spots (and yes, I use Jet Dry). Not thrilled and could care less when it breaks - I'll go with a different company's dishwasher in the future.

Dishes come out sparkling clean. The only criticism is that the hose will not property stay in place once it is retracted into the dishwasher. It pops back out and leaks water all over the floor. Besides that annoyance, it's a great dishwasher. Very quiet.

I wanted a dishwasher but there wasn't space for a built-in at our new house so we decided to try a portable. I was skeptical, but it's turned out to be wonderful. It takes up less space than I expected and the top surface is very durable. Most surprising, though, is how quiet it is! And I've already seen a difference in our water bill.

Very roomy for our family of 3 and the dishes/pots/pans we wash. Everything has come out clean. Would of liked there to of been a heat option(the coil that heats up) but I have found that for the most part, warmth from the cycle dries efficiently. We havent been able to get the water hose completely back in the compartment during non-use times but it only sticks out a few inches.

We live in an old home and need a portable dishwasher, but chose to have it plumbed in so it can remain stationary. This portable had to be altered to achieve that. The dishwasher does a good cleaning job. It is smaller than our old portable dishwasher, and the racks are not as well designed. There is a hot rubber odor (from drain hose?) when it is running, more than a month after installation. I hope it fades. This dishwasher is quiet when it runs, which is great!

We were without a dishwasher for a couple of years until this past Christmas, our daughters pitched in and bought us one. It works great, once you learn how to use it.
The only problem we have had so far is one of the wheels aren't working right. Being a portable, you have to move it to the sink and back to storage.

Pros: Style, added counter top, easy to load, highth, super water saver, racks designed to load any size or style dishes, super quiet, easy to move around.
Cons: Water hose too short and not detailed in product description or specs. We had to spend an addional $100.00 to purchase and $50 to install a new kitchen faucet as the one we had was the one with sprayer; also not described in specs. Delivery was late by one day and machine arrived with 2 inches dent on the back upper corner. Box was not broken. This appliance was boxed dented.
Overall, this diswasher runs very good.

Two things I immediately learned about portable dishwashers when I received this product. Dishwashers can be quiet and they actually roll in the direction you push them. This dishwasher replaced an old Kenmore portable that I bought nearly 25 years ago. While it served me well for most of that time it's clear that it had been doing a bad job for many, many years. I love the clean look of this machine and the stainless interior is a huge upgrade over my last one. Moving the old one was like a game of tug of war that I rarely won. The new machine glides like a Cadillac!

First off the packaging for this product was very well done. About like Fort Knox. It had been 25 years since we had a new dishwasher. We made sure we had a good full load to really test this new one. It looks smaller compared to our old one but the layout allows for just as many dishes. Once we had it loaded to capacity I hooked it up and started it. It was so quiet. I almost had to put my ear on it to hear it. As it was I did put my hand on it to make sure it was running. The dishes are sparkling clean too. So pleased with this purchase. I find we are doing dishes more often since it is so easy and quiet compared to our old one.

Had I seen this in person, I would have never bought it, but due to COVID, it is online shopping only. Awkard rack arrangement doesn't fit as many dishes as my last Whirlpool unit. The bottom rack just rolls right out of the tracks when you pull it forward too fast, causing me to lift it back into place. Drain sprout doesn't always fit back in the hole of the dishwasher, getting stuck on itself. It gets the dishes clean but takes 2.5 hours for the cycle to go through, way longer than my old one. I had two whirlpools over the last 15 years, each one lasting about 7ish years, I don't see this one lasting more than 4. I hope to be proven wrong.

Happy with my GE dishwasher. Few problems : ackward position of silverware caddy. If too close to to corner of door where soap dispenser opens, it will block soap for so soap doesn't dispense. Learned to move caddy over more. Wish I could lock wheels so unit didn't roll when I am loading it. But can work with those issues. Cleans beautifully.

Whoever designed the racks seems to never have used a dishwasher before.
Pictures of the product are misleading; it appears the dishwasher can hold lots of dishes, but in fact, if you're not using dishes exactly the size of the ones in the picture, you'll soon realize how awkward the rack layout is.
First, the utensils rack is loose, and due to pins all around, cannot really be moved around. Its default position makes it likely the soap door will be blocked, and there's space waste all around it.
More, it's unthinkable to put most pans vertically, due to pins rows being too close together.
Most pins on the lower rack are too short to be useful; they can't hold large dishes steady, and are unable to hold glasses. Unless someone drinks an insane amount of espresso and needs to clean dozens of small cup plates a week, this is not great.
Lots of space is wasted all around, due to pointless esthetic decisions like rounded corners, that are just nice on the drawing table but that are impractical in real life.
I replaced my 25-year old dishwasher with this one, which had the same size, but due to design faults outlined above, this GE dishwasher can only hold about half the load I'd put in the old one.
Sure, it cleans great, sure it's quiet, but I have to use it twice as often as the dishwasher it replaced.

I'm a little disappointed in the rack set up of this newer vision of our previous GE dishwasher that we had for over 10 years. This version doesn't accommodate pots and pans as well as the older version. I'm sure eventually, I'll get used to it.

The dishwasher does clean well. However, the bottom dish rack has a terrible lay out and will flip containers over during wash- therefore they will still remain dirty. Also, the silverware rack location was not thought out. It falls over, or blocks the soap door.
