Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy, and expensive and you probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Unreliable/cheap drivetrain, good suction.

Submitted by lrpasni - 6/29/2019

great suction, but poor unreliable drivetrain. had both wheels go out, and spend $100 for each replacement. gears in the drivetrain are plastic, and same quality as a child's toy, not made to last.

PowerBot R9250

Submitted by micvicnet4011 - 6/27/2019

I love the design of this powerbot! It's so rugged and definitely has no problems making it over pretty much anything in it's way. The robot is able to traverse quite a bit and transitions great from hardwood to shag carpet and even up a couple inch break between rooms. The power bot is easy to empty. Once the smart things is connected the app side of everything is easy to use. There are settings for custom scheduling and cool mapping of the robot.

Amazing!

Submitted by jvanep - 6/14/2019

Prior to receiving the POWERbot I thought I would still have to do my regular vacuuming, but this thing is so amazing I don't have too! Since we have such a busy house I have it set to do it's thing Monday, Wednesday, and Friday while we're all out of the house. This way we don't have to worry about being in it's way or anything like that. I should have invested in one of these a long time ago!

DO NOT BUY

Submitted by Connbt17 - 5/10/2019

I bought this robot in March of 2018 and all was going well. In April of this year (2 weeks after the warranty expired) , it started making a weird noise. It ended up that the belt for the roller was bad. I replaced it myself ($50) and a week later the same thing happened so this time I found that the brush roller motor was bad. I replaced that as well ($150) and thought I had it working. Now the thing goes to clean, stops and makes like it has an error yet it doesn't display an error code. I'm done with this one.

Amazed by this Tech

Submitted by WSU Jabz - 5/7/2019

This is a fantastic device. My family and I have been amazed at watching it roam around our home, in a consistent pattern, and vacuum up the debris on a daily basis. Now instead of vacuuming directly we all just stand around and watch the Vacuum do our work for us....I'm really not joking...we literally now watch the vacuum cleaner in amazement over actually vacuuming the floor. Overall the PowerBot does do exactly what it is supposed to, however I wish I could say the same thing about the Smarthome/Smarthings application. Getting this vacuum connected to the Samsung apps has been a nightmare for me. I, and many others, have spent countless amount of hours working with Samsung support to just get passed between the device support and App support resources. I believe that I have figured out what works and what doesn't that I can try and assist others with here. First off the PowerBott r9250 just doesn't work with Smart Things. I don't care how much Samsung says that it does...It doesn't. To get it to even show up in Smart Things you have to use Samsung's old Smart Home app and register it through that app (Not without huge complications) then once it is registered in Smart Home you will then see it in Smart Things, however you cannot control the robot in SmartThings as it keeps on telling you that it needs to be registered through Smart Things which doesn't work for this device so I ended up just hiding the robot from the SmartThings dashboard and turned off notifications for it. In Smart Home in order to connect the device you need to put the device in AP mode and then put your phone in Airplane mode (With WiFi turned on). The Device will connect to the device and then the device will attempt to connect to your router. Once it starts connecting to the router you need to take your phone out of Airplane mode or it will never connect to your router. Not sure why this works but it has worked for me everytime once I figured out the pattern. Ultimately this is a ridiculous process to go through but once it is registered I don't believe that you will need to go through the process again unless you disconnect the device from your account. This is something that Samsung really needs to fix. The reason I left my rating at 4 stars is because at the end of the day you shouldn't need to use the App to control the vacuum as it should just stick to it's schedule and work. The device itself is amazing now if only the app can get up to speed this would be a killer device.

Getting better with each iteration

Submitted by ronpowerbot - 5/2/2019

First impression when you receive parcel, it's big, heavy and sturdy. I already had robot vacuums from different other brands, so first impression on build quality feels better. One issue could be that the look of the PowerBot is quite distinctive, which make him stand out when placed in a place where you can easily see it. Other robots have more discreet designs. Depending on what you are looking for this can be a pro or con. Setup process: Setup up out of the box is not only quick and easy, but thorough. It took less than 4 hours for the PowerBot to fully charge. The boundary markers are quite easy to apply, but I didn't use them and have also never used them with any other robotic vacuum. Setup of WiFi and SmartThings integration is easy. Alexa support is also great. Use: The first time you use it you will be surprises on how truly quiet it is compared to conventional vacs as well as other robotic vacuums. While the cleaning is going on you can carry on with your other activities, no need to leave the house. After the run is completed, empty of the waste bin was straight forward. Suction power of the PowerBot is excellent and better compared to the competition. Running in a house with furniture can be an issue. The PowerBot handles most obstacles pretty well, however it can get stuck or jammed during its run on objects which are low enough to not be seen as a block, but high enough to get stuck on it. Conclusion: It's a great mid-range vacuum. It's not a five-star vacuum, there are more advanced models, but for this price you can't go wrong. Spending double for a few extra features are not really justified in most cases except you really, really need one of the extra features.

Simply amazing! The Powerbot Robot Vacuum does the work so you don't have to. Set up the base and give it a charge and never worry about vacuuming your home again. It is intuitive and learns your space. Tell it to vacuum a certain room or the whole house. Works wonders on both carpet and hard wood floors. Digital displays on the unit combined with cell phone app allows you to cater the settings to your liking. Such a wonderful addition to our family. It does the work while we go play!

Great product!

Submitted by mindyk307 - 5/1/2019

I bought this in March and I have used plenty of robot vacuums before and the Samsung Powerbot R9250 is by far the best that I've ever used. I have 2 dogs that are short haired but shed all over the place, they also drag in sand because I live in the South. The Powerbot picks up so much more dirt in the cracks of my tile floor, along edges of the cabinets and along my walls. I was expecting to be let down and have to do what I have done with other brands, but I am so glad I made this purchase and Samsung has my business for as long as they make robot vacuums! The Powerbot is very easy to learn how to use. One quick read through the booklet and I knew all I needed to on how to get the Powerbot running. I think it is really cool that I can connect to the Powerbot via wifi and control it through my phone. There is an option to also use Alexa but I haven't done that one yet. The options for this Powerbot are endless I could write about them forever! I think the main selling point that I liked was that it has a washable filter and I don't have to keep buying new ones. I read about that before buying and it was a huge advantage for me. I would highly recommend!

Okay, not supported on Smart Things app?

Submitted by Adam2019 - 5/1/2019

How is a Samsung product not supported on Samsung Smart Things App? I liked the previous model better and it worked on Smart Things. Not sure why a newer version wouldn't be supported on the app. This one does have better suction, but does not seem to know where it is going. Goes in circles a lot and will fall down the steps if you don't use the magnetic strips. Also I don't think it has the sweeper/squeegee to clean the edges on hard floors like the last model.

Rated #1 for a reason

Submitted by ENGBot - 5/1/2019

I have waited almost 3 years to write this review. Many do it right away, which I appreciate, I am more of those who like to see it last over the long run. I have also purchased two more of these units for a friend and my sister. They too are still functioning as of today. I purchased this vacuum for my mother. She is in her elder years and not able to clean as much as she would like. She also has a dog, that would shed more than most dogs. Literally she would have to sweep or vacuum three times a week to stay on top of the dog hair. The house is moderate size ranch home with 4 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, family room, 2 bathrooms, and a dining area. My mother was a big skeptic of this working and told me to return it the first week I bought it. Now if you took it away from her she would fight you for it. The most important thing you must due is prep your home for a robot vacuum. 1. Make sure all electrical cords are hidden or off the path of the vacuum. It will digest them. 2. Make sure your house is pretty clutter free on the floor. 3. Place the vacuum in a central area of the home. 4. Last but not least you must let the vacuum learn your home. It took about a solid week and really two before it was very competent in vacuuming the entire house. 5. The first week you are going to think you are a dirty person for all the stuff it picks up. It is "OK", because once it has worked its magic your house will look clean every day. Pros: 1. It has made my mother happy. The hair is gone on a daily basis. This means she has to clean out the bin about every three days due to the hair. I would not expect this for a regular home. 2. Once it knows your home it will take about an hour for it to finish the entire house. 3. Moderately quiet. You can have it running while you are on the phone or others are in the house talking. 4. Easy to maintain. 5. The Samsung app tells you if you have an issue with the vacuum. 6. The initial cost was expensive, but like I said you get what you pay for. The Consumer reports reviews sold me and it has held up to the test. 7. Cleaning and maintenance. Easy to remove bin and filter must be cleaned once a week. You get a replacement filter you clean with tap water. Cons: 1. Will not clean into tight corners or under certain counters. 2. Will get caught up on things, so you have to pay attention to rooms with items on the floor. 3. Dining room sets seem to be an issue in our house and gets caught up often. 4. It doesn't return home and is stuck under the bed. Just a pain to fish it out. More of my compliant than anything. 5. Open Stair Case. I know it is NOT supposed to move past steps and not tumble down, but my sister has reported two incidents of this happening with hers. Good news the vacuum has taken the fall twice without issue. All in all I am happy with all three units and was hoping they would come out with a model to do the mopping for my mother too!

Sold on a Smart Vac

Submitted by Big_Benn251 - 4/28/2019

Robot vacuums have been around for a while now. Though I'm all about making life easier through the use of technology never did I think I would ever own one. I'm happy to say that my experience has been pretty good with the Samsung Powerbot 9250. I was surprised by its size when I first unboxed it. The 18.7 x 20.9 inch frame was bigger than I expected. What's great about it is there are multiple ways to operate it. It comes with a remote that you can use to direct it around the house. It can connect to wifi so you can use Google home or the Amazon Echo to tell it to clean. If you are a Samsung Smartthings user (like myself) you can integrate it into your routine configuration. Also as with a lot of other things these days you can use an app (Samsung Home) to control it from your phone or tablet device. Initially putting it together took no time at all. It comes with a remote, extra filter, cleaning tool and a magnetic strip. The strip is used to mark off areas you don't want your Powerbot venturing into. I let it charge for about 2 and a half hours as listed in the instructions. Connecting it to my home wifi was fairly easy using the Samsung Home app. Integrating it into the Samsung Smartthings app did take a couple tries but I was eventually able to get it connected there as well. For being one of the more powerful robot vacuums on the market it wasn't disturbingly loud while in use. The first time out I just let it run and find its way around. The visionary mapping was pretty accurate in making sure it didn't bump into things it came into contact with. Due to its large frame it did have a little difficulty maneuvering through narrow spaces. I was still confident with letting it run while I was out of the house and am glad to report that nothing was knocked over. When it was finished it immediately returned to its charging dock. Manually directing the Powerbot using the remote made cleaning up simple spills quick and easy. The Samsung Powerbot 9250 has definitely set the bench mark for me when it comes to what I want from my smart vacuum.

Excellent Clean

Submitted by Sed1020 - 4/19/2019

The Samsung Powerbot R9250 vacuum bot device has excellent cleaning results! I've previously used another robot vacuum before and this one offer more superior benefits and cleaning results by far. It does an excellent job at cleaning the entire house free of hassle, especially when I'm always on the go and able to remotely control the device through Samsung SmartThings App. Secondly, not only does it automatically clean the designated areas, but does so effectively and very smartly, it is able to navigate area cords and other objects to avoid destruction. Thirdly, the Powerbot is able to automatically find it way back to the charging base with ease avoiding obsolesces. Lastly, this device was very easy to set-up and ready to connect to other smart devices!

Great cleaner with amazing capacity

Submitted by Mohit Goenka - 4/10/2019

I recently bought Samsung POWERbot 9250 after having tried some of the other brands. I was a little worried given the amount of money that I was going to invest on this robotic cleaner. However, I have no problems claiming that my price was fully paid off by the quality of the product that I received. POWERbot 9250 is very good in cleaning the stuck dust in every corner of the house. It is also well capable of extracting all the hair that gets stuck in the rugs and carpets. In fact, the whole area kind of feels new every time you run the cleaner. The other good thing about it is the fact that you could connect it to other voice based smart devices. If you have a smart speaker, you could say commands like "Start the Cleaner" to let it start and do its magic. I was also amazed by the capacity of its dust container. It is much bigger than the regular cleaners, thus, reducing the load of clearing it after every run. If you clean your house daily, removing the dust weekly should be good enough for an average household of 2 bedrooms and a living room. The only problem that I faced with the cleaner was when it tried to move from wood flooring to a rug. That transition is not very smooth and in most cases, you have to do it manually.

Back to the repair shop

Submitted by reviewone - 4/2/2019

I've had mine since 11/2018 and it's now 3/30/19 and I'm shipping it off once again for repairs (3rd time). Each time it comes back, there is a new issue. The time spent boxing up, heading to the UPS store, waiting for repairs etc..... are frustrating. Each time it returns I have to start from scratch getting it all setup (which is also fun......NOT). It does have issues with chairs (kitchen/dinning) and hangs up around them. I've gotten to where I have to move these chairs before the vacuum starts. Forget about after hours and weekend service calls as they're no help what so ever. You'll get off shore support with little to no experience with the product. Weekday support also isn't much help as it's like they're reading off of a manual for help.

Worst thing I've ever seen

Submitted by DavidDMoore - 3/22/2019

I've received the Powerbot as a Christmas gift. It is installed on the 2nd floor of my home where there are 4 bedrooms. It often does not start cleaning and the app reports that it is disconnected. The robot itself shows it is connected to my wifi. My Google Wifi mesh network shows it is connected. When it does actually start cleaning (usually by me forcing it to clean after rebooting it), it cleans for 30 minutes and then cannot find its way back to the charger. It makes a series of left-hand semi-circles and sometimes manages to find its way back to the charger but sometimes gets lost. Using a "bread crumb method", it should know exactly how to return from where it started. The robot vac clearly does not have a map of my 2nd floor and where it has/hasn't cleaned. It seems to focus its cleaning effort on the room with the charger and rarely cleans other rooms. Normally I have to force it to clean some rooms by using the "spot cleaning" feature on the remote. Don't even get me started on the inconsistencies between the Smart Home and SmartThings apps. Neither of them ever report the correct status of the vac. I would not recommend this piece of junk to anyone.

Sraight Up JUNK

Submitted by larrygou - 1/18/2019

I bought this a month ago had problems right out of the box. The problems were created by the Powerbot. Example: Powerbot would back itself up to a wall and raise it's back up and get the uneven error (duh). I sent it back for repair I would rather have a root canal than do that again. Multiple hours and phone calls to N.J and CA to get it "fixed". Got it back and it found a space it couldn't fit through and never attempted to back up or turn around (new error). I would send it back but the company I purchased it through (NEWEGG) but they wanted $20 shipping and $60 restocking fee. I am leaving it on my coffee table as a reminder NEVER to buy SAMSUNG products. I bought a cheap competitor's robotic vacuum a couple years ago that works circles around this. JUNK

Oh... What could have been...

Submitted by Lunar72 - 1/3/2019

As a lover of technology and simplifying my life, I really wanted to love this vacuum. I read all the details about it, did my research, and read reviews. So i thought, i will splurge on this device since it has the 10 year motor warranty and to me felt like a better built device than all the other robot vacuums i checked out, plus i also specifically bought it because it was able to be integrated to Alexa (which it stated straight on the box). I took it home and had some issues connecting to the older Smart Home app (but i got it working), which was very limited as far as features. But, i was not deterred because my main objective was to connect it to Alexa. However, the older Smart Home app used to have a corresponding Alexa skill, but because Samsung smart devices moved over to the New SmartThings app it was removed from the Alexa skills, and replaced by the SmartThings Alexa skill. So i moved on to download the new SmartThings app, and since my vacuum was registered to my Samsung account it showed right up on my SmartThings app, and Alexa does have a SmartThings skill developed by Samsung. I figured, "Hooray! this will be easy now". Sadly, i was mistaken, when i tried to control the vacuum on the SmartThings app, the app would tell me my device was not registered with the app, and prompted me to follow the steps to sync it and register the device, but it never worked for me. it would get hung up on trying to connect to the access point of the vacuum. Now, i will say that the app did not have this particular model (R9250) listed as supported by it, so i decided to be patient and decided to call Samsung the next day. I called the next day and was on the phone for 5 hours (2 hours of which were just solid hours of holding for another department waiting to answer after being transferred and being abruptly hung up on after the 1st hour). i spoke to 5 different departments and 5 different representatives that all spoke to their supervisors, no one could tell me about which app should be used (i assume the Smart Home app is the correct one but none of the reps could verify this, they just kept telling me to use both even though i kept telling them 1 didnt work and the other one didnt have the capability to connect to Alexa as it was advertised). I would like to add that out of the many people i spoke with only 1 actually tried to help, the others were just quick to try and transfer me, but unfortunately the 1 helpful rep which happened to be the last one to help me, seemed to be working off old information as far as the apps and which connected to which services. I decided to call it quits with this vacuum after this, and after posting this review i will be going to return it. It is just astounding that such a huge company had such horrible technical support for such a costly device which i was fine paying for if it all worked as advertised. If you want a great performing vacuum with a subpar app and Alexa integration, i would go for it, but if you are looking for a vacuum with easy smart home integration i would look else where, so that you can save yourself from the headache that it was talking to Samsung Support, and it will probably be at a significantly lower cost.

A true robot vacuum and not a sweeper

Submitted by Dada369 - 12/31/2018

Christmas gift for my darling wife. This robot actually is a true vacuum with decent suction in normal mode providing a half hour of cleaning between returns to its charging base. Competition is more of a sweeper that sweeps to its center to suck up. Samsung has a power roller with bristles and rubber on the dowel! Robot maintains my home (hardwood/tile) with one cat and 2 young children suprisingly well. You will have to spot mop and spot vacuum heavily dirty areas and places you know a robot obviously can not get to. I highly recommend this product for people with realistic expectations. You will get a mostly dust and small crumb free home.

Researched in depth and decided on this robotic vacuum. Used twice now on frieze + I/O carpet + tile. Impressed with dust/lint pickup power. Navigates well to get tight spots.

Works awesome when it works

Submitted by kkdisappointed - 11/28/2018

I purchased this about 18 months ago and we named it carl. It failed around the 10 month point and i sent it in under warranty to get the debris sensor replaced (it would only go backwards and give an error) Carl came back working like a champ! 7 months later we have the same errors and the same problem. The unit is no longer under warranty (10 years is not true for the parts that break just for the nearly indestructible motor). Now to have my super expensive robot vac work again i have to send my unit in to get a tiny plug and play sensor replaced. Repair parts are not available for purchase.

Worked great for a year

Submitted by Jason112231 - 11/18/2018

Worked great minus not being able to connect over phone app for about a year. All of a sudden when not on a full charge it will go into a constant reboot mode when any button is pressed. If it does have a full charge the vacuum will start but then only go backwards. I expect something like this that is this expensive to last longer than a year. My pool robot that is underwater all the time is going on 5 years now with no issues, this should last longer

Works great with some integration features

Submitted by terminic - 11/1/2018

Great suction and does a decent job at mapping. Really my only complaint is that it sometimes gets stuck in a small area and then it heads right back there after it gets itself free, so the mapping could be a little better. I also have it integrated with some home automation and it does a good job with automations. Newer versions have more capabilities. My wife was skeptical when I bought it but she may love it more than I do now.

terrible vacuum

Submitted by V Iyer - 8/12/2018

i have had this vacuum for over a year . in less than 6 months noticed several issues - loses wifi connectivity all the time . its a pain to restore wifi back to this device - most annoying issue is the the loud rattling noise which developed in a few months with the brush running in it . the noise goes away magically without the brush . did everything to clean it but the deafening noise will not go away . read the forums this is the most common issue Save your money and try another vacuum robot . this is not the right one

App Fail - Samsung Smart Home

Submitted by samsungdisliker303 - 7/22/2018

Well not to mention that Samsung now has over 20 apps for all their different devices, its no wonder they can't support their products. Followed all their online instructions to connect their Smart Home app to the vacuum and it keeps asking me for the devices Wi-Fi password when I try and connect to the device in AP mode. Cool password bro! You don't have one listed. Thanks for nothing. Returning this garbage.

Unit completely failed a second time in 6 months

Submitted by WLTDDS - 7/21/2018

Buyers beware! Our unit failed after 5 months of use and ceased to function requiring both wheel drive assemblies and the main power control board to be replaced. The unit worked for about two weeks before it completely failed again. While the repair service the first time was reasonably quick, failing twice in less than six months is unacceptable. It appears that Samsung has a faulty product.

Expensive doesn't always mean the best quality

Submitted by Katstand - 6/29/2018

Don't spend your money on this vacuum. Others that are less expensive work way better. My husband bought this for me. It worked ok. It got caught under stuff all the time!! Then we didn't use it for a month and it started giving the code C03 (something stuck in the wheel) when we tried to use it again. Nothing was stuck. After going through multiple phone calls Samsung told me to send it in - knowing it wasn't under warranty - but they said we would just have to pay to have it fixed. Ok that may have been cheaper than buying a different one. Once the service center receives it they said that they only fix ones under warranty. So I went to the trouble to send it in only for them to tell me there's nothing they can do. So... buy a different brand. The expensive one isn't always the best one!

Remarkable

Submitted by motorcycle1guy - 6/28/2018

Pretty remarkable device! Watch it just go to work without doing anything but turn it on. It goes from room to room without any intervention from me. then tell it to go home and it finds it's own way parks itself to charge. It has manual features where you aim a red pointer and it follows it. Amazing!

Worked 5 months then broke

Submitted by Shell5363 - 5/25/2018

My husband bought this for me first of December and it broke in 5 months. Found it turned off in a room, would not turn back on, something was wrong with a large wheel. Had to send it back for repair. No idea how long I will be without it. This product cost too much money to have it break in less than 6 months and then be without it. How much longer will it work when I get it back. We are retired, have nothing on our floors but carpeting and tile. It has never picked up anything but daily dust!! Very disappointed to say the least. I didn't want to spend this kind of money but my husband thought it would be such a helper at our ages I agreed. Would not buy it again. Would not recommend.

I haven't named it yet, but it's becoming a member of the family!

Submitted by botmom - 4/13/2018

I had no idea how much dog fur gets shed daily. I am running this toy every day. I rated a bit less for design because it looks like a giant Duracell battery. I rated it a bit less for value because it seemed kind of over the top. If I ever read the annual and find out all it can do, I may change my mind.
